Bradford Bypass is another pet project from the Premier

BRADFORD — Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to news that the Ford government has awarded a construction contract to connect Highway 400 to the proposed Bradford Bypass.

“Super-sprawl highways like the Bradford Bypass and Highway 413 are not in Ontarians’ best interests.

All they are going to do is increase greed-fuelled sprawl, ramp up climate pollution, increase flooding and slice right through the Greenbelt – paving over prime farmland while locking commuters into endless gridlock.

Once again, the Premier has plenty of time and money for his political pet projects, but none for the things Ontarians actually need.

Greens are fighting for real housing and transportation solutions that help our communities grow without destroying the places we love.”
