Aislinn Clancy’s statement on the beginning of Eid-al-Adha

KITCHENER — Ontario Greens Deputy Leader Aislinn Clancy released the following statement to mark Eid-al-Adha

“On behalf of the Ontario Greens, I want to extend warm wishes to all those who are celebrating Eid al-Adha today.

Today, Muslims around the world gather for prayer and celebration with family, friends and neighbours to mark the end of the Hajj – an annual pilgrimage to the Kaaba in Mecca.

The central tenants of Eid al-Adha are values we can all strive toward – generosity, peace and compassion.

May we all heed the central tenants of this holy day by striving for compassion, peace and charity to those around us in our daily lives.

On behalf of the Ontario Greens, I wish everyone celebrating a joyful celebration.
