Bradford Bypass contract bad news for Ontario

QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario Greens Deputy Leader Aislinn Clancy released the following statement in response to news that the Ford government has awarded a contract for the detail design of the western section of the Bradford Bypass.

“Ontario Greens have been clear: super-sprawl highways like the Bradford Bypass and Highway 413 need to be cancelled immediately.

They will increase greed-fuelled sprawl, ramp up climate pollution and slice right through the Greenbelt – paving over prime farmland while locking commuters into endless gridlock.

Ontarians want the Ford government to step up with real housing and transportation solutions that grow our communities without paving over the places we love.”
