Greens name candidates in provincial by-elections
April 3, 2024
QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario Greens have named Andraena Tilgner (Lambton–Kent–Middlesex) and Kyle Hutton (Milton) as their candidates in the upcoming provincial by-elections.
As a registered respiratory therapist who has served her community for 19 years, Andraena Tilgener has seen first-hand how profoundly people are affected by the gaps in Ontario’s healthcare system.
Andraena supports the Ontario Greens’ plan to invest in home care and its commitment to act on the social determinants of health by investing in affordable housing and education in Lambton–Kent–Middlesex.
Kyle Hutton is a long-time Halton resident who has been a member of the Green movement since 2019, when he was drawn in by the ideal of a sustainable, equitable and affordable future for Ontarians.
A community activist, volunteer and experienced campaigner, Kyle believes the key to creating a better Ontario is by tackling the climate crisis at its source – the industries and norms that fuel consumption, put production ahead of the planet, and profits over people in an unsustainable cycle.
“Andraena and Kyle are champions for their communities,” said Ontario Greens leader Mike Schreiner. “I’m excited to work with them to make Greens’ vision for more caring, connected, climate-ready communities a reality.”
