Ontario Greens continue to call for the resignation of housing minister Steve Clark

GUELPH — Ontario Greens leader and MPP for Guelph, Mike Schreiner, released the following statement in response to the resignation of the chief of staff to Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs Steve Clark.

“Ontarians deserve accountability from the Ford government for their $8.3 billion Greenbelt scandal. But ever since the Auditor General’s report was released, Ford has repeatedly failed the accountability test.

The resignation of Minister Clark’s chief of staff is the first step in the long process to restore public trust – one that Ontario Greens have called for.

But if the Premier believes this is the end of the story, he’s mistaken.

Ontario Greens continue to call for the resignation of Minister Clark to restore public trust and bring accountability to the people of Ontario. And for the Premier to keep his promise not to pave over the Greenbelt.”
