Greens run campaigns to be proud of in Kanata-Carleton and Scarborough-Guildwood byelections

July 27, 2023

QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario Greens leader and MPP for Guelph Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to the results of the byelections in Kanata-Carleton and Scarborough-Guildwood.

“Thank you to every single person who showed up to the polls in Kanata-Carleton and Scarborough-Guildwood.

I want to congratulate our candidates Steven Warren and Tara McMahon for running campaigns to be proud of in Kanata-Carleton and Scarborough-Guildwood, respectively.

They are both champions for their communities with bold visions for people-powered change. I want to thank them and their incredible volunteer teams for representing the Greens with hard work and enthusiasm.

No matter the election outcome, Ontario Greens will keep working hard to protect the people and places we love in this province. I’m so inspired by Green supporters and volunteers across the province who share our vision for a more caring, connected and climate-ready Ontario.

Now, we’re all-systems-go for the next byelection in Kitchener Centre. I’m looking forward to working alongside our candidate Aislinn Clancy as we prepare to bring more Green voices to Queen’s Park.”
