Mike Schreiner shares warm wishes for Eid-al-Adha

GUELPH — Ontario Greens leader and MPP for Guelph Mike Schreiner released the following statement to mark Eid-al-Adha.

“Ontario Greens would like to extend warm wishes to all those celebrating Eid al-Adha today.

This important day in the Islamic calendar marks the end of the Hajj – the annual pilgrimage to the Kaaba in Mecca. Today, Muslims around the world gather for prayer and celebration with family, friends and neighbours.

The central tenants of Eid al-Adha are values we can all strive toward – generosity, peace, and compassion.

May we all keep making sacrifices to show compassion, peace and charity to those around us.

On behalf of the Ontario Greens, I wish everyone celebrating a joyful celebration.
