Julia Rondinone nominated as Ontario Greens candidate in Pickering–Uxbridge

PICKERING — UXBRIDGE - The Green Party of Ontario is proud to announce that Julia Rondinone has been nominated as its candidate for Pickering-Uxbridge ahead of the 2022 provincial election.

Rondinone is a third year Environmental Studies student. She’s eager to showcase the power of the youth in her riding and across Ontario to tackle the climate emergency.

“The time to act on climate is now,” Rondinone said. “I know the power of youth and my generation to create positive change. We need to urgently embrace the new climate economy in order to provide for future generations.”

“Julia knows how important her generation is to tackling the climate crisis,” said Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner. “Youth deserve a voice at Queen’s Park. And Julia would be a great representative for her generation and riding in the legislature.”

Rondinone is comitted to working towards creating a more inclusive environment where people of all ethnicities, religions, and sexual orientations are represented and have a voice.
