Rule changes the result of Doug Ford’s bad planning
October 1, 2020
QUEEN’S PARK — Mike Schreiner released the following statement after the province changed the list of symptoms requiring a COVID test for children:
“These sudden rule changes are the direct result of Ford’s bad planning.
And the mixed messaging is confusing people.
We should have had clear and consistent rules in place for September to make life simpler for parents and families.
Instead, the Premier was telling everyone to get tested despite lacking the testing capacity to handle the surge.
I support these changes, but the Ford government needs to do a much better job of communicating the rules to school boards, daycares and families.
The Premier needs better planning and more consistent messaging so that people know what they need to do to contain the second wave.”
