In-class learning is disposable to Ford government

Mike Schreiner released the following statement about government documents that reveal a plan to move education online:

“It is shameful that in-person education is so disposable to the Ford government.

I am shocked they would consider such an unproven, dramatic overhaul of our education system.

Our kids should not be guinea pigs in a teacher-free experiment aimed at bringing in money.

Such a scheme would threaten the viability of community schools and put mental health on the line by depriving students of opportunities to socialize.

Classrooms cannot be replaced with e-learning, and this secret plot underscores why teachers are standing up against the government’s reckless cuts.”
