Mike Schreiner talks about October jobs numbers
November 8, 2019
“The Premier cannot have it both ways, claiming credit for solid economic numbers while repeating a false narrative that pollution pricing is causing a recession.
Ontario has had a price on pollution in one form or another for the last few years with no harm done to our economy.
This is what experts predicted, and it is what has come true, despite the continued denial of reality from the Ford government.
The low unemployment rate debunks the rhetoric of a ‘job-killing carbon tax’ and completely undermines the Premier’s campaign to sabotage climate solutions.
Rather than continuing to spread fake news, the Premier should be focused on how to create jobs in the fast growing sectors of EV manufacturing, clean energy, and low-carbon technology.
It’s not pollution pricing that will kill jobs.
It will be the Premier’s regressive economic plan that is completely silent on $26 trillion global clean economy.”
