TORONTO — Mike Schreiner made the following comments on Paul Manly's federal by-election win in Nanaimo-Ladysmith:

“Congratulations to Paul Manly, for his by-election win in Nanaimo-Ladysmith. Ontario Greens are excited for Canada’s newest Green MP.

This win, coming just weeks after Peter Bevan-Baker and the Green Party of PEI made history for winning the most Green seats in Canadian history, is a sign of how hungry voters are for a new way of doing politics.

Greens are sparking hope in politics again with leaders who bring a fresh voice, honesty and positive solutions. Voters want urgent action on the climate crisis, and Paul will bring that message to Parliament.
