TORONTO — Statement from the Green Party of Ontario on Diwali

The Green Party of Ontario would like to wish everyone in the Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Buddhist communities a very happy Diwali.

The five-day festival, referred to as the Festival of Lights, marks the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance and hope over despair.

As families and friends come together over food, gifts, ceremony, and the lighting of diyas, we reflect on the values of compassion and personal renewal that are central to this occasion.

Wishing everyone peace and joy on this special celebration!
