You have until May 28 to urge the Ontario government to protect the places we love.
The Government of Ontario is currently undergoing a legislatively required coordinated review of
- the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe,
- the Niagara Escarpment Plan,
- the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan
- and the Greenbelt Plan.
These pieces of legislation are essential to protecting the places we love in southern Ontario.
Without strong legislation, developers are able to pave over prime farmland, threaten source water regions and promote unnecessary sprawl.
Many developers and some municipalities will be working to weaken the legislation because of the financial advantages they gain from sprawl. Learn more at greenbeltunderthreat.ca.
