Greens focused on fixing the broken politics at Queen’s Park
Queen’s Park – Green Party of Ontario leader and Guelph candidate Mike Schreiner issued the following statement on Ontario’s June 12 election.
“Every day people tell me, “Mike, politics is broken.” Boondoggles. Gimmicks. Secret deals.
The status quo isn’t working.
The political games being played with funding for transit by all three status quo parties is one of many examples of how politics is off the rails. The failure to have an honest debate about what the people of Ontario need and how we are going to pay for it is shortchanging our future.
We can do better.
I’m on a mission to bring honesty, integrity and good public policy to Queen’s Park.
Ontario can create jobs and build a better world for our kids while protecting our environment. The people of Ontario deserve to be proud of the leadership they’ve elected.
That’s why I’m running to win in Guelph, where I started and ran my first local food business. That’s why Greens across Ontario are working hard to earn your vote.
This election is about challenging the status quo that created the mess at Queen’s Park and bringing a positive voice for change by electing Green MPPs.
It’s time to think big, expect better, and vote Green.”
The Green Party of Ontario will be launching their campaign on Wednesday, May 7, in Guelph.
