The Green movement is growing stronger!

The BC Green Party made history on Tuesday by electing Andrew Weaver as the first Green member of a provincial legislature.

First Elizabeth. Now Andrew. Next will be Mike Schreiner as the first Green MPP in Ontario. We need your help to make it happen.

Guelph’s water is under threat from proposed expansion of a local quarry. Mike is leading a campaign to protect the community’s drinking water, and  the health and well-being of residents.

Already Mike’s lawn signs to protect water are popping up all over Guelph and hundreds have signed our petition.

We need to make sure the Ministry of the Environment understands how critical it is to protect our water sources. You can help us make this happen by:

  • Signing and sharing Mike’s petition to protect water.
  • Joining Mike in Guelph to knock on doors and collect more signatures for the petition.

Greens from across the province are coming to Guelph on Sunday, May 26 to help Mike collect thousands of signatures. This issue affects every community in Ontario. If Mike can get the Ministry of the Environment to protect Guelph’s water, it is a precedent that will benefit all communities.

What:  Canvass Blitz to protect Guelph’s water
When:   Sunday, May 26, 1 to 5 pm
Where:  34 Gordon Street, Guelph
Social: BBQ at 5 pm, 34 Gordon Street

Please RSVP to julienolan@gpo.ca – that way we can make sure to have enough food and drink for everyone.

Your help will make a big difference. Together, we can make history!

Sincerely,

Becky Smit
Executive Director
