“November 11 is a national day to remember the sacrifice that Canadian men and women have made to defend our country, liberties and democracy.
On this day, we remember the brave women and men who departed from loved ones and risked their lives to serve our country. We remember those who willingly gave their lives, and those who returned with emotional and physical battle wounds.
When reflecting on these sacrifices, Remembrance Day becomes a day of gratitude. It is a sacred day when we, as Canadians, thank those who have made and are making sacrifices to defend our freedom, our democracy and our way of life.
It is important that we take the time to give thanks and appreciation to the men, women and families who have made our country what it is today.
On November 11, we come together as Canadian’s to honour and appreciate those who served our country and blessed our lives. ”
