Dear friends,

Thank you.  It has been an honour working with you as Leader of the Green Party of Ontario.  

I hope you share my pride in the Green Party’s campaign.  The historic gains we made in terms of volunteers, membership and fundraising are accomplishments that build for the future.  We could not have done this without your support.

I’m disappointed, but not discouraged by the outcome of the election.  We’ve established a solid foundation for the Green Party to grow.  Unfortunately vote totals don’t always reflect this.

We ran a campaign that offered solutions to the big challenges of our time: protecting our water, air and local food sources; tackling climate change; creating local jobs; sustaining our health by preventing illness; and promoting government that puts citizens and communities first.  These issues won’t go away. 

Ontario needs a strong Green Party to move the province forward toward a sustainable future for ourselves, our children and future generations.

Yesterday morning I watched the sunrise from the top of the Niagara Escarpment reminding me how important it is to preserve and protect this wonderful place we call home.  I am committed to working with you to grow the Green political movement.
