Nipissing District will have a Green Party candidate in the provincial election Oct. 6.
But the riding association members must still meet to make it official.
Green Party of Ontario Leader Mike Schreiner made the announcement Thursday during a stop at the White Owl Bistro in North Bay as part of his tour of Northern Ontario.
The candidate is expected to be announced Sept. 1 before the writ is dropped at Queen’s Park.
