Provincial Green Party leader visits Grimsby
By continuing to motivate Ontarians to cut back on energy use, the province will save for the future. That’s the message the Green Party of Ontario spread through Niagara Tuesday in the lead up to the fall election.
Programs such as the energy retrofit program, which provided financial incentives for homeowners choosing to make energy efficient upgrades to their homes, should be improved and not cancelled, said party leader Mike Schreiner, during a stop at a Grimsby home.
“Conservation is a real alternative to government spending on new generation,” said Schreiner at the home of Jim Howden and Ruth Moffatt. “It’s a win-win-win for everyone.”
