Katie is a University of Guelph student in the Bachelor of Arts and Sciences program, a unique program dedicated to pushing disciplinary boundaries in study. Having grown up in Muskoka, Katie was excited at the opportunity to use her knowledge and experience to benefit her home community as the YWCA Youth Eco-Intern. Joining the YWCA of Muskoka in May 2010, Katie brought her interdisciplinary experience to the Women & the Environment project, a project that took a closer look at women’s environmental health in Muskoka. Currently, Katie is finishing her degree while working as a YWCA girls program facilitator and program assistant.
Katie will be a speaker at the GPO’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday, April 16 at 10:30am.
