Born and raised in Kingston, Robert is an educator, executive, political consultant and person of faith. He has run twice for the Green Party of Ontario in Kingston and The Islands and is the party’s Immigration, Citizenship and International Trade critic.
Robert studied immigration and international trade as a graduate student at Queen’s University. He believes in the equal treatment for all in the province and the country. Robert advocates for reforms to fiscal frameworks to ensure temporary foreign workers receive fair financial treatment, especially for benefits in old age. This conviction dovetails with his passion for seniors’ wellness.
Robert is the former Executive Director of the Frontenac-Kingston Council on Aging, Inc. His master’s research project focused on the impact of casino gambling on seniors and he has won various academic awards for his scholarship on “aging well.”
Robert has worked in the public, private and non-profit sectors and with First Nations as a leadership trainer, education officer, and facilitator. Robert has help lead political campaigns at all levels of government. He currently serves as the Communications and Administration Coordinator for Next Free Methodist Church.
