Motivated to improve life for future Ontarians, Robert Chan will join Mike Schreiner and the Green Party as a proud candidate for Mississauga—Malton. He is a long-time resident of Mississauga and grew up in the Mississauga Heartland area.
A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, Robert is a data scientist for a national telecommunications company. His career has spanned programming, analytics, product management, video game development, and process improvement. Robert is a member of his company’s Green Team and volunteers annually on various initiatives to support local communities. He firmly believes that climate action, housing affordability, and increased healthcare funding are today’s top priorities in Ontario.
Robert brings a data-focused perspective and leverages it as decision support for policy, process, and project implementation. He believes that public policy and fiscal responsibility should be intertwined, and that transparency of this link through data ensures spending efficiency.
Growing up, Robert’s father taught him the joys of outdoor recreation, instilling a connection with nature. Robert and his family now spend their free time biking, skating, swimming, and gardening.
