About Michelle

Michelle Angkasa (she/they) wants to ensure future generations of Mississauga—Erin Mills live in a healthy, vibrant, and safe community.

Michelle believes Ontario needs stronger, more collaborative voices in government who will advocate for intersectional and equitable change. They firmly believe an economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable future for the province is possible, and that this election is the critical moment to push for the bold action we need.

A passionate activist for youth-led advocacy and climate justice, Michelle is witness to the collective unease of Ontario’s younger generations. From their years of organizing with youth-led groups like Our Time and Future Majority, Michelle knows that housing affordability, mental healthcare access, and the climate crisis are the pressing issues for youth across Ontario – but progress towards real, lasting solutions has been slow and insufficient. Michelle is ready to roll up her sleeves and work to find solutions to these challenges.

Michelle is a first-generation immigrant of Chinese and Indonesian descent raised in Mississauga. They are a third-year Environment and Business student at the University of Waterloo.

Ready to represent her community at Queen’s Park, Michelle is committed to being a dedicated voice for young and diverse voters in Mississauga—Erin Mills.
