Jamaal Blackwood

Jamaal Blackwood is a 28-year-old Toronto Metropolitan University student who is excited to represent the Brampton East community at Queen’s Park.

Jamaal got his first taste of politics in 2018 while advocating for the creation of youth-focused innovation hubs. Since then, he has continued to work to uplift youth voices to create a real, meaningful impact in the community. Jamaal believes that young people can play a key role in solving today’s most pressing issues, like climate change and the affordable housing crisis. He knows that decisions made today will affect the future of those who aren’t included in the conversation and hopes to give those voices a chance to be heard.

Jamaal is standing behind Mike Schreiner and the Ontario Greens to bring the leadership we need to Brampton East, listening to residents and building the Ontario we want together.
