Ignacio Mongrell (he/him) is ready to champion sustainability and social equity on behalf of the riding of York South—Weston at Queen’s Park.
A husband, environmentalist, and entrepreneur who proudly identifies as queer, Ignacio is passionate about finding solutions to transition Ontario to a greener future.
Originally from Uruguay, Ignacio moved to Canada in 2010 and earned a Master’s of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology from the University of Waterloo. He is the current Assistant Director at ICUBE, a business accelerator program at the University of Toronto. He is also the Chair of Positive Space at the University of Toronto Mississauga, where he advocates for LGBTQ2S+ students, staff, and faculty.
Ignacio is privileged to have worked alongside many ambitious and creative entrepreneurs as the Director of Client Services at the Waterloo Accelerator Centre and as manager of several Haltech Regional Innovation Centre business advisory programs. Ignacio has also co-founded and invested in several startup companies.
An entrepreneur at heart, Ignacio will bring a wealth of drive, innovation, and spirit to Queen’s Park as he advocates on behalf of the residents of York South—Weston.
