About Erik

Erik Coverdale is running in Haldimand—Norfolk to bring his vision for a renewable energy future to Queen’s Park.

An engineer by education, Erik joined the Greens in 2011 after seeing a significant gap in political interest for pursuing green energy options. He believes Ontario must phase out fossil fuels as soon as possible to tackle the climate crisis. Erik strives to offer the residents of Haldimand—Norfolk optimism and hope, and he possesses integrity and leadership skills to build the Ontario we want.

Erik has worked for many solar energy companies as a design engineer, project manager, consultant, and most recently a director in a publicly traded company. Erik resides with his wife on a farm in Norfolk County where they practice green living daily. Erik enjoys DIY projects, boating the inner bay of Long Point and cruising around on his motorcycle, mountain bike, or airplane.
