About Brian

Brian MacLean is committed to providing the residents of Etobicoke Centre with a bright and prosperous future for generations to come.

A proud father of two adult children, Brian is concerned with the legacy being left behind for them and others. He joined the Greens in 2011 because he feels no other party genuinely invests in Ontario’s youth and their challenges, especially climate change and unaffordable housing.

After retiring from the publishing and bookselling industry, Brian decided to devote his time to helping others. He is a full-time volunteer for Lost Rivers Toronto, Parkdale Intercultural Association, a Neighborhood Climate Action Champion for TransformTO, and a Toronto Nature Steward at Etobicoke’s Raymore Park. More recently, Brian co-founded Etobicoke Climate Action, which focuses on identifying actions needed to address the climate crisis.

A resident of Etobicoke Centre for a decade and a long-time Torontonian, Brian enjoys walking and cycling to Etobicoke’s parks, ravines, and the Richview Library.
