Reuben DeBoer is passionate about advancing Ontario in a way that considers social needs, fiscal prudence and environmental responsibility. Reuben is grateful to have had the opportunity to reside in many areas of this great country, learning more on regional issues from coast to coast, and is ready to represent Eglinton-Lawrence with the needs of Ontario in mind. Reuben is a certified Project Manager currently working in the health care field, an artillery veteran and an avid traveller. Reuben is proud to stand with the Green Party and their platform as we work toward a greater, more sustainable Ontario.
Reuben has received a Master’s degree from the University of Waterloo in Sustainability Management. His thesis involved implementing municipal sustainability plans by utilizing cost-saving techniques and new revenue generation. This lead to working on multiple local projects, such as the TTC Relief Line and the Urban Design Study of the Gardiner Expressway and Lakeshore Boulevard Reconfiguration
Reuben has enjoyed volunteering with regional, provincial and international NGOs. Reuben had the honour of representing a student delegation at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 2013, where he was first introduced to Elizabeth May. Reuben begin campaigning for Mike Schreiner in 2014 and is looking forward to campaigning alongside him once again. While a member of the Green Party since 2006, this is Reuben’s first time running for office.
