Lucia Iannantuono

for Hamilton Centre

Hamilton needs people who can go beyond the usual talking points, meet everyday citizens where they are at, and connect the dots between crises that are all tied to climate breakdown: it’s a health issue, it’s an equity issue, it’s an economic catastrophe, it’s a human rights issue, it’s an education issue, it’s a housing issue – it’s the issue that will shape our world.

About Lucia

Lucia Iannantuono grew up in Muskoka, moved to Hamilton to study electrical engineering and currently works there as a hardware designer.

She joined the Ontario Greens as a volunteer during the provincial election. Now as the by-election candidate in Hamilton Centre, she is committed to growing the Green movement in her city.

She says Hamilton is on the front lines in the battle against air and water pollution, suburban sprawl, destruction of green space and cuts to social services for the most vulnerable. And she is convinced that Ontario Greens have the best policies to address these seemingly separate but interconnected issues.

Lucia’s favourite pastimes are walking around downtown Hamilton and exploring the Bruce Trail. She is also involved in local environmental and social activism as a member of Hamilton 350.
