Eryn’s passion for civic duty began at 16 when she joined the municipal Youth Council. As an executive member, she worked with youth in the community and advised City Councillors on ways to engage and support young people. Eryn furthered her passion for public service by enrolling in Paramedics and Search and Rescue studies at the Justice Institute of BC. She went on to work with local Paramedics, and Search and Rescue teams, by leading Ground and Rope Rescue teams. Eryn was deputy campaign manager for a Vancouver Island candidate in the 2017 British Columbia general election, where three Green MLAs were elected. She is now the National Volunteer Coordinator for the Green Party of Canada and works tirelessly to engage people in a political environment that is inspiring and hopeful.
In her spare time, Eryn is training with a competitive triathlon club. Coming from years of swimming at an international level, Eryn knows what hard work means. She intends to put this same passion and effort into her position in the legislature. Her other hobbies include Vipassana meditation and creative writing.
Eryn believes that politics are about people. Politicians must be honest to their core if we want governments to be successful. Eryn continues to be inspired by the diversity of people who walk with the Greens from all walks of life. If elected, Eryn promises to speak on behalf of the people of Mississauga—Malton and represent them at Queen’s Park.
